Although a four bedroom villa, with only two bedrooms having ensuites, guests are, therefore, able to enjoy all the space and luxury of a four bedroom villa with private pool at the price of a two/three bedroom villa, making it ideal for couples and families alike.

Unusual in its design (the house is over three and a half floors and built around a circular staircase), the interior design of the villa makes the maxiumum use of all the space.

The light and airy living / dining room with fireplace and SKY TV opens out via large patio doors to the outside terrace and pool with its gorgeous views over the national park and to the sea. The handmade and highly specced kitchen is very modern in design with breakfast bar and separate utility room (with washing machine and drier).

The bedrooms (two ensuite) are all again, interior designed to maximise space and views, and the master bedroom has a superb private terrace overlooking the pool area and the countryside and sea - perfect for parents wanting an afternoon siesta whilst keeping an eye on the children!

With the villa being south facing, it is ideally situated to catch all the sun the Algarve has to offer, with the covered terrace and outside dining area offering shade for the really hot times of the day. There's even an outside kitchen with barbeque to help guests make the most of day and evening alfresco dining.

Talking of evening, when the sun goes down, Vila do Afonso becomes a haven of romance and tranquility as the lighting around the gardens and pool has been designed to provide the perfect setting for private cocktails, family dining or a romantic retreat.

Alternatively, if guests can lure themselves away from the beauty of the villa and its surroundings, there are several Portuguese restaurants within a few minutes' walk, including a superb beach bar offering excellent meals at the side of the sea.

For beach lovers, it is just a short walk through the national park down to one of the most beautiful beaches in the Algarve - which even in summer is uncrowded and the perfect place to watch the world go by at the superb beach bar/restaurant.

Other beaches are within just a short drive and the wild and wonderful West Coast with its surfing (said to be better than in Australia) is within easy striking distance. Nearest shopping is a flat, 2km walk away to the unspoilt fishing village of Burgau, with more facilities being avialable in the popular holiday resort of Luz (3.5 km) and the bustling town of Lagos (5km) both being less than 6 km.
